Trouble starting/running, module?
I was trying to install an MSD 8683 Timing Control on my GTA and during the wiring I got 2 wires connected to the wrong wires on the module. I had loosened the distributor to change the timing and tried to start the engine and it fired maybe once but then it just cranked and cranked. I checked the wires and that's when I found that I had not wired the control the right way. I swapped the cables and the car did the same. The distributor had moved so I set it back where it was supposed to be, I disconnected the MSD control and cranked the engine, this time it started but it was not idling very good. I checked the timing and set it back to factory, the engine ran better but it sounded like it runs then cuts out, runs and cuts out... The tach was going to 4k when the engine reved to about 1k, this was bad.
I think I might have fried the ignition module. What do you guys think?
Note: Before I started doing the control install the engine ran with no problems.

Well, changed the module and it started right up and idles like normal. I'll try connecting the Timing Control later.
