Stereo Problems
I never had any problems with my charging system before but about a week after i installed my system, the guage started to fluctuate a lot and my stereo wasn't raeceiving enough power to run. I changed the battery and it now holds at 12.5 when the car is off and about 14 when the car is running. My alternator is pushing 12.5 at idle and 14 at about 2000 rpm. I have unhooked the system but would like to have it back. I'm getting frustrated here. Thanx a lot guys any help is appreciated

your alternator in your truck was most likely bigger then the one in your car..
i had the same problem as you are experiencing and i upped my alternator size to "120" and its having no probs now..although when the car is at idle and i turn it up past level 22 (max is 50) she cuts out...so for competitions i have to rev the crap outta the motor to keep the rpms high enough..
try the new alternator and see what happens
ps..your cap may be on its way out too..(thats why i dont use them..i find them to not be neccessary unless you have a 2000+ watt system)
