Trouble with VATS
So I have proven that the ignition switch is the problem by doing the resistance check on the wires under the dash. So the question is
Has anybody replace the ignition switch/module with the VATS setup? What problems have you encountered?
I purchased a new key but the problem of not starting one and awhile still occurs, very anoying
I would like to fix this problem once and for all.
And no, I do not want to bypass the VATS all together.

You should just replace the lock cylinder, the contacts inside it are probably shot or you could have one of the wires to it starting to go bad inside the steering column.
