Service engine light out?

Service engine light out?
When you turn on just the accessories, isnt the service engine light soon supposed to come on for a second?? Mines not, is there a potential problem here?

There is no problem there, the light only comes on in the run position as part of a bulb test and whenever there is a malfunction in the system as you are driving along.
