check ignition module?

hi,

i've been searching on the board but i can't find it.

how can i test my ignition module?
89 350 tbi

i've got spark on all the cylinders but cil#8 doesn't have a detonation.
could this the ignition odule?

Take it to autozone, they can check IMs.

If you've got spark at all the cylinders but no detonation at cylinder #8 sounds more like there is no fuel going to that cylinder. Just a thought!!!!!!!!

the spark is wet from the fuel so..
i can't check it at autozone because i live in Europe.
i've read somewhere houw you can test the module?

Are any of your other plugs soaked in fuel? You may have a leaky injector on cylinder #8 that is flooding the plug. Also, if the plug is too saturated with fuel it won't fire very well.

hi,

my other 7 sparkplugs are looking good.
i changed last weekend the plugs and don't think cil#8 have maybe a bad plug again.
i have a tbi so only 2 injectors.

Check the plug wire(s)? Other than that, the only other thing it could be is a damaged cap or something. There's no reason the module (or ECM) would cut out #7 from firing only. As long as the valve is opening, that cylinder should be getting air/fuel just the same as the other cylinders, being TBI. If it's not the spark plug I would check those two things.

My bad for not seeing the TBI at the end of the 350. Have checked the spark plug wire or the terminal posts in the distributor cap?
