ignition switch
ignition switch
ok, not sure if this is the right forum or not but I tooka guess
For those of you with manual Tranny's, do you have an "accessory stop on your ignition switch?? The book for my 85 says there should be but there isn't. FIrst stop (click once forward from lock) has no power and the second stop is run. There is no backwards stop
Just curious......it's annoying having to turn the car to on to get the radio.

Does your steering column have the words ACC at the lock cylinder? Try pushing in on the lock cylinder and turning the key to the rear. That is how I had to do it in my 85 Z28.

Some one has probably changed out your steering column at some point in time.
No, they didn't all have "ACC" on them however, all the ones that I have dealt with have been able to turn the key to ACC.
