hey guys hope you can help me. i have an 88 irocz with the 5.7l tpi and the stock hei distributor with an external ignition coil. i need to know how do you remove the metal star shaped teeth which sit upon the pickup coil on the distrib shaft. i would like to replaace the pickup coil itself thanks

Transmission: Pro-Built 700r4 w/ 3400 converter
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt w/ 3.42 gears
IIRC, the pickup coil is held down by 2 screws into the distributor, so taking those out is all that will need to be done to get it off for replacement.
