front left headlight out only with lowbeams

When I pull the switch to turn on my lights my front left headlight is out, but if I click over to my high beams all four lights come on. Any suggestions as to what this may be? fuse? wiring?

Thanks for any help.

How could it be burnt out if it comes on with the high beams selected? Just asking...

If it is that would be great a simple replacement, but this behavior seems strange.

There are two filaments in the low beam lamp.

Thanks a lot...sorry for my stupid question. I thought that there may be two bulbs in the low beam lamp, but I wasn't sure.

Your headlights are sealed beam units, there aren't any bulbs.

Dont feel so stupid. I just answeared the same question about a month ago, so your not alone. Make sure you get the right unit because the high beam and low beam are very similar but are not interchangable.
