Ok i have a 91 rs with vats.. the problem is someone tried to steal it and messed up the steering column.

I bought a new column with vats in it but of course its not the right resistance. I know if i had the key for the old vats i could wire it in... but what do ya know i lost the key. So what can i do to get the resistor # out of the stock key? I just need to buy a resistor so i can wire it in there and bypass it but i have no clue on what to do and of course every chevy dealer is closed today and tomorrow. Need it quickly thanks.

 

If its a 91 you should just be able to go up to the dealership and give them your VIN. Then they can give you the info you need. They cant doo that for me...I have an 89.
