Cruise Wiring

I asked this question last week, and after a bit of searching I'm still confused. I have these two connections under the column, one comes from the cruise control stick, and the other is part of the wiring harness (has pink/black, grey, blue, & grey/black wires). Am I misunderstanding this or are they supposed to connect to each other? I can't find any stray connections anywhere.

This is the blade type connector from the cruise control stick
