Car battery-

Hello.

Ever since i bougth my car, the car battery have been loose. I`m not shure how it should be strapped. How is the car battery fasten?
I have a Chevrolet camaro Z28 1986, with the standard LG4 engine. Do anyone have a picture, who shows how i should fasten the car battery?

All my cameras are 35mm, so I cannot offer a photo.
Most batteries have a lip on each long side, at the the bottom. This is for fastening. One lip fits under a welded-in bracket on the battery platform (headlight side of battery tray). The other lip gets secured with a plastic block, held in place with a bolt. The threaded hole for the bolt is there. The plastic block (also available as a flat metal piece), can be gotten at any auto-parts store.

Our friend lives in Norway; three thousand miles or more, from any AutoZone.

Thanks for the tips!

In the first place, i have to find out the measurements of the battery i should use in the z28. Then i have to buy a car battery, and sort out the fastening, and find the treaded bolt hole.

Yeah. American cars are great cars, the only "problem" is that norway is a litle country, a long way from the USA. But the internet solves many problems.

Very curious... Anyone have a pic of a typical camaro engine compartment, showing the battery?
