Power Locks have mind of their own (????)
Power Locks have mind of their own (????)
Hello, I give up trying to figure this out on my own and thought one of you could offer some advise.
My problem:
First off, I have the 'normal' power lock problem- You have to press them four or five times to get them to lock/unlock.
Secondly, at random times, they start locking/unlocking on thier own. I have looked and looked and the wiring looks mint... It's like the sylinoid is stuck or jammed.... or something... but sometimes they go off with out pressing the button. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance, Steve

Remove, disassemble, and clean the lock control switches. You'll be amazed at the amount of junk and corrosion that's in there, especially if they've ever been damp/wet from rain or leakage. There is often enough conductive corrosion (copper oxide) to make the ciruit and operate the locks with no operator input.
