What is this black box? (pic inside)
I pulled this black box from under the dash of a 1984 HO 305 'maro. It was sitting on a metal bracket. The connector slides onto a circuit board with 4+2 prongs on each side. Only 10 wires are connected, though.
The circuit board contains about 4 IC's and a crystal.
The wire colors (looking at the attached connector) are:
gy N/C dkbl/wh rd N/C tan
gy/bk dkbl ltgn bk ltbl/bk br
I was trying to find it in the schematics in my Chilton and Seloc but did not come up with anything. What is it??
Thanks in advance.
Lou

Off hand I would wager that it is the cruise control module. The wires that you mention correspond to the schematics in my service manual and no, Haynes would have nothing on it in their book.
