V6/v8 Gauge Cluster
I have a '92RS ragtop......305TBI.....my gauges are flaky, a common problem with that car, I have an opportunity to buy a gauge cluster from a "92RS 3.1 six cylinder engine. Does anyone know if that set of gauges will work in my 5.0 ?

If I am not mistaken, I believe that I read the two have different resitors in them. The tach and speedometer have different resitors in the v6 vs the v8. You my want to check on that...

I have heard the same thing one gu said the tach would be about 20 percent off, should not affect the peedo though cause that just goes to the sensor in the trans. Don't quote me just my thoughts:lala:
Speedo as nothing to do with it being a V6 or V8. Only
difference is the tach. I swapped from a 3.1L V6 to a 5.7L
V8. All the stock gauges work exactly the same, but the
tach. You must change the resistor in the cluster for the
tach with a V8 one. So, when you get the V6 cluster, just
swap out the tach resistors, that should be it! I am 99%
sure on that, as nothing is guaranteed.
