Light switch shutting down whole car!?!
A few weeks ago, I burnt some of my alarm wires. It still works but I haven't had time to replace the fried wires.
Either way, on the odd occasion (mostly the important odd occasions), if I flip my head lights on, or even just the parking lights, the electrical system shuts down completely, almost like I have no battery at all.
The weird thing is that if I wait a few minutes, the electricity comes back on. What’s weirder is that I don’t touch a thing. Really, I just sit there and stare out the window.
I usually know when I have juice when I decide to turn on the interior light by either opening the door or manually turning them on by the switch.
I start up; flip on the driving lights and go.
So far, and I really don’t want to jinks myself, it hasn’t done this twice in a row.
Any comments besides fix the alarm wriring?

Oh yeah? Well my ignition switch recently broke and now when I take the key out, my accesory circuit is active for 1 full minute. I'm not complaining though, this is great!

Whats up Trickster
Sick of me yet?
One day this car will run like it used to,I swear!
This is more a curiosity question than anything because I know I have to repair the wires and I'm just waiting for a soldering gun to come my way.
Sure are! Just the parking lights though.
Why would it do what it does though? I mean, why would all electrical activity cease and then just decide to come back?
Thats weird too.

Was your alarm system by any chance wired into the lights to cause them to flash if the alarm was set off?
