GPS Unit?

Okay so I just bought an entire 4th gen interior basically (minus seats since my seats are still pristine and comfy). Also have a monitor for the car, but no CD player or the likes... so I was looking around for one. Basically while I was looking around I realized that I needed a GPS unit for long trips (I could get lost in my own back yard, and never ask the cats which way to go... yes I am that bad lol).

I dont have room for two head units and a monitor. I am wondering if there are any GPS units that would show the map and directions on the monitor that I bought for the car. I've seen a lot of GPS units, but none that seem to work with a seperate monitor... for cheap at that... which I could mount else-where... so I could have my CD/Radio headunit infront of me. Or maybe I should just build a carputer and scratch the X-Box idea... though it is a sweet, cheap idea.

So if anyone knows of this type of GPS Unit then please inform me! Or any alternatives that I havent thought about yet
