A/C without ecu
I have an 89 rs that had a 2.8 in it. i went with a carbed v8 and eliminated all unneccesary wires. In my poor quality haynes manuals i don't see an a/c compressor relay in the schematics for v8 cars. Does this thing only allow the ecu to kill the a/c comp. under throttle. Can I just eliminate it? The a/c compressor cycles itself through pressure switches right? will i blow something up if I eliminate it, or is that exactly what i need to do? any help would be appreciated. or real diagrams. thanks

Have you checked the v6 to v8 stickies in the "Engine Swap" board? Someone who has done this swap should be able to answer your question there.
Also try asking in the "Cooling" board, thats where you'll find the A/C experts.
