Hi I just finished an engine swap, I used a painless harness. I found out quickly that It does not control everything. So now I am trying to hook my emissions stuff up. It does have the hook up for EGR and i read in the manuel that I can wire the vapor can. to the egr hot side and do the same with the air diverter(air pump). It goes on to say I have to wire the other two wires from those componets to the Ecm, one goes to the 24 pin blk. the other to the 32 pin blk. . My question is if the Egr is supplying the source then way cant I just ground the other two componets and leave out the Ecm deal. Being that I only need this stuff to pass inspection. Seems to me there should be an easier why to do this.
