Mystery Connector...Trickster?

I found a 2 wire connector hanging above my oil filter. One wire appears to be orange or red with a black stripe and the other looks like gray. I looked around, but I couldn't find any place that it could plug into. Any ideas? I can take a pic if needed.

Pictures are always helpful unless someone knows exactly what you're talking about.

Off hand without seeing a picture of it I would have to say it might be the wire harness for your oil pressure switch given the location you mentioned.

The oil pressure switch is supposed to be above the oil filter isn't it? I looked all around for the thing using a mirror and a flashlight and didn't see a thing. I'll take some pics when I get a chance.
