No Brake Lights!
ok so in my 80z the fuse that runs my hazzerds is the same one that feeds my brake lights the fuse is strong and my hazzerds work just fine. my tail lights work fine when my lights are on so its not the bulbs, and its not the fuse. my brake lights did work not to long ago but now show nothing...... i think it might be my brake switch that has gone bad. dose any one have any other thoughts? any thing helps thanks again

the tails have two filaments you may have just blown the brighter of the two that comes on for the break lights.

check the bulbs first thats the simplest then possibly the switch or the wire for the brighter filaments. trickster will know wat wires exactly to look at but definitely check the bulbs first.
also there is another post running (tail-light works....brakelight doesnt) only one side wont light in that one but trickster posted the schematics which might help you if its not the bulbs

I had the same problem, brake lights not working but everything else does. I checked the bulbs and the wires from doors back, but no problems. It turned out to be the switch at the brake pedal: when you press the pedal it operates a pin switch that opens the light circuit. That switch is held in place with a bracket and had gotten jammed. It takes two people to check brake lights, but look at the top of the brake pedal to see if the switch (assembly) is in the correct location. If not, that should solve the problem. Best wishes
