Unknown Relay
Hi guys. I have an 84 Trans Am that originally came with a UQ7 RPO, that, according to the decoder on TGO, is "Speaker system, 5, Dual I/P, Sail MTD STD Speaker" Problem is my rear speakers dont work at all. I have an aftermarket CD player in there. The plug of the wiring harness that goes into the CD player has 3 plugs in it from the car, a blue, a white, and a black. Yea, this gets kind of confusing. There are two plugs each of the white, blue, and black. A previous problem I had was the sound would not kick on until the car was warm, or you hit the headlight switch, brake pedal, or whatever happened to do it that day. Switched out the black plug for the other black plug and it works fine now.
Today I came across a relay on the pass side next to some black box that says "AC" (What is that anyway?)and the defogger relay. It looks to have the same connectons as the headlight relays. Numbers on it are 4205 and 10028531. It has a green, white, and grey wire coming out of it that have been cut. Any ideas where these wires go? It also has a black wire to ground, and a pinkish wire and one moe that go somewhere. Any ideas on what this relay is or where those wires go? Thanks
Brian
