headlight problems!! please help!

ive got a 91 firebird that has its lights stuck up. ive been having trouble before they went, like id push the running lights on and the runners would come on and the headlights would flip up but wouldnt be on. so one day, in the rain when it was doing this, i was trying 2 get just the running lights 2 come on, by switching it off and on real quick. it really usually works on like the 1st try. then it they stopped and stayed up for good...so... i figured it was the module. before i went out 2 get one i tried out the motors with an old car battery and found out theyre fine. so itd have 2 be it. i got a used one off ebay off of a 87-92 firebird (it didnt say what year, just what it could be used on) this one makes a clicking noise but still wont make them go up or down. do u guys have any suggestions? could there be a fuse for the lights? could it be that both modulars are gone? its just frustrating as hell. please help if u can id really appriciate it!

Try cranking both headlights full down then turn on the headlight switch, if they come up there was a glitch in the module logic for positioning them. If they turn on but don't come up, try removing the headlight switch and cleaning the contacts on it and spray some contact cleaner in the harness connectors and try it again. If you can play with the switch and get them to move, replace the switch...still might want to replace the switch even if you don't get them to move.
