glueing a battery back together? lol

hey guys I dropped my batter which was sitting on the tire of my car and i went to move the car(fenders are off etc) the negative terminal was still hoocked up, well bang I heard, and there the battery was with the negative terminal and some surrounding plastic with it broken right off, so I'm wondering if there are anyt adhisives that withstand battery fluid? or should i try to melt this back in with the other plastic?

I as well as you I'm shure, would figure having this set up wouldn't be safe, so is there any way to make a battery go bad? so I can get warranty on it? the phsyical damage isn't covered of course. at least if I sealed it up, then had a really bad battery I coudl take it to them and try to get a new one?

cheers

Don't heat up the plastic, one wrong move/punctured battery is NOT worth the trouble. Just get a new one, its not worth screwing around with something like this unless you are sure it's gonna be fine. Maybe a pic would help but personally I would screw around.

Let's think here, hydrogen, gases that come from a battery, Lindbergh, blew up because of what? You've guessed it right, HYDROGEN, take that battery back to walmart, napa, autozone, pay 45-50 bucks and get a new battery and get rid of that time bomb.
Just my two cents.

Any auto parts store that you took it to would listen to your story, ask where you bought it from, take one look at it and raise the flag so high it would touch the moon and then some. Just bite the bullet and go buy a new battery and try not to repeat that mistake again.
