The items in the first picture appear to be relays, but I could be mistaken.

In the second picture, the item on the left (black box) is the cruise control module, and the item on the right (clear/yellow box) is the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) buffer.

Uh, I couldn't tell you, the only thing I know that is useless to you right now is the cruise control module. The VSS buffer, I'm not so sure. Let me see if I can find any info about those relays, at least I think that's what they are, in my 91 service manual.

Did your cruise control work before you unplugged the computer? I'm wondering if my cruise control module would be bad. Does anybody know if the one from IceMan's '91 would work on an '84?

I used to work at an advance autoparts...write down the numbers (specific to the relay), or just take the whole relay and take them to a parts store. Any competent parts guy should be able to cross the numbers, and figure out what those relays are for. ...the only problem is gm has a habit to use the same relay for a bunch of different things. Hopefully it will at least narrow it down.
