VATS problem again!
About a month and a half ago I had a new ignition cylinder put in for a bad one. A week later the VATS module went out. Last week the car wouldn't start after I had driven for about an hour. I figured maybe it needed a jump. So I jumped it; ran fine. 2 days ago, same thing happened but I tried to start it before jumping it and it fired right up. Yesterday the car wouldn't start but this time NO SECURITY LIGHT. The security light had been on the previous 2 times this had happened. Wait 5 minutes and it starts. Now it won't start at all. Exactly like before.
I'm tired of messing with the VATS system. If I get a chip burned with VATS deleted what else do I need to replace for this to work? OR could I get the PROM from a non-VATS vehicle (previous year or just an 89 non-VATS PROM) instead of having a new one burned ?

Nothing, either edit a Prom with VATS disabled or get another one. All engine parameters MUST be the same however. The cars personality e.g, engine operating parameters, fuel delivery etc. are contained in the prom.
