More of the Choke Light - With a Twist!
Ok, I've searched high and low, and nothing seems to be quite right.
My situation is as follows; recently after pulling some dents out of my fenders the choke light came on. But went off soon after the car warmed up. That didn't bother me. The next time I ran it, the light would come on, and go off by itself. But here's the strange part. My headlights, rear defrosters, hatch release, interior lights, and instrument lights will work when it's on, but the radio, wipers, windows and heater do not. When the choke light comes on my battery guage reads 17-18, and then returns to 14 when it turns off. All fuses are ok, and everything works when it's off. I'm assuming I have a ground that is disconnecting, but I don't know quite where to search. I'm going to check it all out this weekend, but for now I figured you guys could help if you'd had this sort of problem.
That doesn't sound like an alternator to me, but could it be?
I also replaced some bulbs in my side marker lamps before this happened, but that wouldn't make a difference, would it?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
