i looked through the book and i just can't figure it out i just switched my auto th700r4 to t-56 on my 89 t/a got everything to good but just cant figure the reverse lights any help or suggestion is appreciated.

 

The automatics use the multi switch on the shifter (in your center console) to control the reverse. The manuals have a plug on the tranny body. You will need to get a matching plug and run wires from the shifter connector in your center console down to the tranny. That's what I did.
