How many and what color wires to starter?
I rewired the car for my Commander 950 ecm and now it won't crank. No clicks or nothing. How many wires should go to the starter and which ones? I think I have all the wires connected for the actual "starter", but I only have one purple wire on the starter solenoid. Should there be another one? Where does it come from?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You should have three small red wires with large terminal lugs. Two of those wires will be connected to the same terminal lug, these are fusible links. You will also have a small purple wire going to a small post on the starter solenoid marked "S". Then you will have the large cable from the battery, the three red wires mentioned earlier go on the same post as the battery cable.

Ok I got that. What else starts the car. Or just turns it over?
If I can't figure it out, I'm just going to put a push button start on it.

ugh. i had to go thru this when i went to start my LS1.
it took me a half hour to find the relay... lol
its under the drivers side kickpanel.
do this:
take off the kickpanel.. the relay will be there, probly covered in sticky rubber/tar crap.
find the black wire with a yellow stripe on the relay connector..... shove a wire in there (leave the relay plugged in, just shove a wire in the back of the connector.)
touch that other end of the wire to a ground... i used my doorjam switch.
turn the key on, and you should feel the relay click... assuming you have the park or clutch switch still hooked up, the car will start now.
once you have that worked out, you can just bypass the relay entirely by connecting the two big wires together.... or you can put a switch in to ground the relay (starter disable switch)...
