Where does fuse block get power?

I guess what Im trying to say is all the power that goes into the fuse block, where does it go? Do they all just bundle up into one wire and go to the battery? Ive gutted just about all the wiring (no critics please, this is pretty much a drag-only car) and I wanted to re-use the fuse block, and just rewire to how I need it. Pretty much all the exterior lights, FP, ignition (box), ignition (acc), fans, gauges, and so on. Do I just splice all the wires into an 8 or 4 gauge wire and run it to the positive post on the batt?

from the battery distibution post and/or the starter main power stud (depending on year) there are two or three (depending on year) fusable links. they then lead into the bulkhead connector on the firewall next to the brake booster.

from the inside they go from the bulkhead connector, into the fuse block. or into the ign switch, then to the fuse box.. depending of its ign on or not.
