Blower motor or switch

I know this sounds odd, but when I have my heater/defroster/ac on and my fan switch is set to anything other than hi, I start to smell burning, like wires or plastic...As soon as I turn the switch to hi the burning smell stops.. Any ideas?? Thanks Guys

I don't know but, have you pulled the blower motor and had someone turn it on different settings while you hold it and see if something is amiss?
Laters,

I have not as of yet, but Ill try that when I get back from my business trip..I had one guy tell me that its the switch, and one other tell me that its a fusible link and quite common...I ve done so much to this car...I have no idea what the wireing scheme is regarding the fusible link..But the fan runs fine either way..I just was thinking maybe somone else has maybe had a similar ordeal, ya know.....Thanks man for your suggestion
