Well i just got another wiring harness from an 87 TPI car and the one that was currently in the car, has 3 relays MAF power Fuel pump and one other relay, i was replacing the harness in the car (87) with another harness (87 supposedly) and the distributor plug is the larger plug im guessing for a large HEI(pre-87) not the small HEI like i have. the charcoal canister plug is on the opposite side(i think later years they switched sides for the battery) and when i looked at it all there was only one connector for the ESC module and one relay, i matched the wires and its for the Fuel Pump. now what am i missing here? did i get sent the wrong type of harness of a newer/older TPI car? it has a MAF sensor plug. the harness also has an extra connector where it meets the computer it has 3 wires 2 larger pink/black wires and one smaller tan/white. i am kind of stumped on this one. is there a certain year where it did not need the relays?i can take pics of everything if needed. someone please help me!

 

You may have a harness from an '85 Firebird TPI. They had no MAF relays under the hood and had the battery on the left, EVAP on the right.

 

thanks, i figured that out when i looked for 85 TPI harness/ECM info guy sold me the wrong stuff said it was from his 87 TPI. wow ill be asking him about it on NE3G thanks again
