I am attempting to wire a fan switch. According to the shop manual schematic, the radiator fan relay is the far driver's side in a group of three.

The schematic says there should be red, black/red,green/white, and brown wires. What this relay actually has are: pink, green/black, green/white, and green. All of these wires look to be about 18 gauge.

I decided to ground this relay and hope for the best. I can hear the relay click, but no voltage to the fan.

Today I confirmed that the fan works in diagnostic mode. Does anyone have an idea how my fan is wired? Any idea what my mystery relay is for? Thanks

 

The relay that you are describing is actually the fuel pump relay. The relays that you want are the two other relays mounted next to it.

 

I got it wired up right today. The shop manual reversed the A/C and the radiator fan relays in the diagram. Thanks for the help
