Need C207 connector pinouts please

I need the pinouts for the C207 connector in an '87 LG4 Formula (VIN H). Apparently, several pins are different than the ones I found during a search. This is for a TPI conversion that's turning out to be more complicated than I expected.

Thanks!

OK, after much digging in the '87 service manual schematics...this is what I have so far. I couldn't find info on Pin A and B...others I'm not positive on.

Looks like I still need those pinouts Trickster if you can come up with them. I think I may have enough here to get the car running, but I'd like to have it done all at once.

What a mess.

Pin “J” = tan/white wire from pin “C” of fuel pump relay to “Crank Fuse”.
Pin “K” = brown wire from pin “F”of “VSS” buffer (digital cluster) or pin “A” of “Inst. Cluster” (gages) to pin “16" connector “C1" of “ECM”
Pin “L” = brown wire from fuel pump to connector, tan/white wire to pin “A” of relay.
Pin “M” = black/white wire from ground to pin “5" for VSS buffer on connector “C2" for indicator gage cluster or pin “A” for VSS buffer on connector “C2" for digital gage cluster. (Ground is rear of right cylinder head)

Since it is SO different, would it be better to get the entire wiring harness from the 89 donor car and swap the whole thing over?

Hello Durtybird,
here is the TPI pin-out for connector C207 for the 87 firebird. I do not have the 89 firebird manual at the moment so I can't give you that exact pin-out right now. With the 89 wire harness and pin-outs there are some systems that are not in the 87 car.

L98 pin-out VIN F & 8

Pin “A” = brown wire from ECM pin “A2" connector “C1" to pin “C” of ALDL
Pin “B” = orange wire from pin “D” of fuel pump relay to C207 and then red wire to pin “G” of “ALDL”
Pin “C” = brown/white wire from pin “13" connector “C2" (ses light) of inst. Cluster to pin “A5" connector “C1" of ECM
Pin “D” = tan/white wire from pin “B2" of ECM connector “C1" to fuel pump & pin “A” of fuel pump relay
Pin “E” = white/black wire from pin “B” of “ALDL” to pin “A9" connector “C1" of ECM
Pin “F” = pink/black wire from “ECM-IGN” fuse to pin “A6" connector C1 of ECM & pin “B” of ESC module
Pin “G” = pink/black wire from “GAGES fuse to emissions
Pin “H” = tan/black wire from TCC solenoid to pin “F” of ALDL (automatics only)
Pin “J” = orange wire from ECM pin “A8" connector “C1" to pin “E” & “M” of ALDL
Pin “K” =brown wire from ECM pin “A10" connector “C1" to pin “F” of VSS buffer
Pin “L” = NOT USED
Pin “M” = black/white wire ground to back of each cylinder head
Pin “N” = orange/black wire from ECM pin “B10" connector “C1" to pin “B” og gear selector switch (auto only)
Pin “P” = purple wire from TCC solenoid to brake switch (automatics only)
Pin “R” = purple/white wire from Crank fuse to C207, then purple wire to pin “2" of cold start switch and purple/white wire from splice to pin “2" of cold start injector.

It turns out that the LG4 and TPI harnesses are indeed quite different. Do you have any info on what systems would be different?

I have the opportunity to buy the IP harness from a TPI '87 Trans Am...has the power windows/locks connectors just like my car - would it be easier to swap the IP harness (dash and interior are already out) and then repin if needed?

Sorry if it seems like I'm having a hard time with this...

Hello Durtybird,
You are in luck, I just scored an 1989 firebird service manual off e-bay last week and hope to have it today or tomorrow.

Hehehe...

Well, I may also have access to the '89 IP harness from the same car the engine harness is out of. Can you think of any reason this won't be easier than repinning the LG4 harness?

Thanks again!
