random fan wire

i have a wire that goes into my fuse box , held in by a fuse. some idiot thought this would be a good way to wire up the fan. there is a hot wire jammed into the fuse box, held in by the fuse controlling the wipers. what would be the proper way to wire this up?... thanks.

Does your fuse panel have the "accessory" terminals along the top row? They are just single connector plugs that usually are labeled, and sometimes color coded.

If so, that is the best way to wire them up. On other applications all of those are run off of a 30A circuit breaker, not sure on your application.

However, if your fuse panel is setup with the accessory terminals, you can get a plug from the wrecking yard, then run an inline fuse on that wire. Just probe the terminals before deciding which to use. Some will be constant 12V, some will be 12V ignition on, some might be dimmed with headlight switch, etc.

I'm not familiar with the fuse panel in your year of car, so I apologize if this information is not correct for your application.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures, nor capability to make any soon.

Look at your fuse panel as it is in the car. Are there some single connector "sockets" along the top rows that obviously don't take blade fuses? If so, those are what I'm describing.
