v6 to 8 conversion, can I use the 6 tach?

v6 to 8 conversion, can I use the 6 tach?
I was just wondering if I can use the stock tach from the 6 with the v-8. Or do I have to go and pull an 8 tach from another firechicken? I figured maybe there'd be a switch and chevy would save some headaches. -Colt

you need a v8 one unless u dont care if your tach is 20% off....please search i can find about 2 others just on this page....
