here you go!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, you can disregard pins "H" & "K" in this picture since they don't apply to you vehicle. All the other pins listed do apply though.

i appreciate the info about the wiring harness, but i meant to ask what sensors (like O2 sensor,TPS, MAF, whatever applies) make the engine light come on. I test drove a 1987 camaro 350 TPI with a rebuilt engine (rebuilt by the owners son ) and the light came on after about 15 seconds of driving it. When the guy opened the hood, he was saying something about how his son put a new intake on it, but it looked exactly like the stock TPI intake for a camaro. If the son of this guy did in fact change the intake, it could be some air flow sensor. If he rebuilt the engine wrong, there is a chance that they did something wrong and its turning on the light. If the 02 sensor(s) are making the light go on, its not such a big problem.

The guy who was selling it was the father, the son wasnt there.

i dont own a camaro, but im on a 4 month (so far) crusade to find one They are so hard to find! At least in indiana, and in decent shape.....and with a 350...and port injection.....and t-tops...maybe im too picky?

there are several sensors on it, TPS, coolant temp, O2, knock & some others, anyone of them can turn on the check engine light including problems with the PROM/MEMCAL or ECM itself. best thing to do is pull the codes & see what they are.
you can pull the codes like this, with the key off put a paper clip between terminals A & B of the ALDL & then without starting the motor, turn the key to the on postion, the ALDL is what Trickster posted above. when you turn the key on, the CEL should
start flashing, an example, FLASH,.... FLASH FLASH is a code 12 which you should always get, any other codes shows
there is a problem.
i think there is a list of codes & what they mean somewhere on this page,

The airbags first appeared in the third gens in 1990 and only on the drivers side at that time.
