swapping to speed density...
i have a speed density harness out of a 91 firebird, it has come to my attention that 90-92 f bodys have the plugs for the wiper motor on the headlight harness and not on the engine harness like 89 and older. well my car is an 89, so, now i have no wiper motor plugs.
im a little worried about the compatability of my 89 dash harness and my 91 sd engine harness. i dont want to send power to places it shouldnt go, thats going to lead me to a disaster.
im guessing my easiest fix would be to get a 90-92 head light harness and a 90-92 dash harness. BUT, will a 90-92 dash harness plug into my 89 style gauges and allow them to work right?

I apologize for not being aware of how the connectors are set up. Is it "standard" GM of that era with the engine/headlight/tailight harness plugging into the back of the fuse panel, and thats what you are dealing with? The '89, similar setup, just slightly different pinout on the connectors?
In my case (other GM vehicle) I had a similar issue, wiper wiring was different on two harnesses. I just de-pinned the connector and put the harness wires in the connector terminal that mated up correctly to the backside of the fuse panel.
