How do you check to see if your battery has a drain?
I just want to rule out that my batter is getting drained by a bad ground. I know you take a cirtuit tester to it but I'm not sure of exactly what the process is.
Some one fill me in, please.

Use an current meter in series between the negative battery cable and the negative battery terminal. (Disconect the neg. battery cable) If the draw is more than 200 milliamps (I think) start pulling fuses one at a time until the draw is reduced, and your problem is something on that circuit. Someone else can confirm what the correct current draw is.

I have never used a test light to test current draw from a battery, but I probably won't be sensitive enough to detect a small draw. If you have a relatively fast draw, it should work.
It's easy enough to try, if it lights up, you know you have a problem. If it doesn't light though, don't assume your okay, it may be too small of a draw.

I checked the shop manual, it should be 25mA or less, and you need to wait 60 seconds after connecting the meter/light for the computer to power up.
