Speedo Help

My husband put a carbbed 350 in my Gta (we bought it w/o motor and trans) he said that the speedometer was an "electric drive" I dont dought him but he dosent know how to get it to work, any help I could give him oh he also said that the trans that he used was a 700r4 with a cable drive for the speedometer? I hope that I can get some answers

Axle/Gears: 4th gen 2.37 posi w/disc brakes
Yeah, the GTA has an electrically driven speedo input, and the tranny has a cable output. There are 2 options: Get a cable-driven speedo for the dash, or (better idea) get a VSS.

Here is a guide showing how to convert a car to an electric speedo system, but since you already have the speedo itself and the wiring, its gonna be pretty easy and cheap.

I think it's the same. I don't know for sure, but the Camaro may have changed to a completely different guage cluster in the later years. Can someone help me out here?
