I recently upgraded my 91 firebird with the 91 92 trans am taillights. Just wandering why I am having issues. Since I changed my headlights pop up when I hit my brake pedal. Plus the parking lights come on. If I unplug the taillights it doesn't do it. Didn't know if this is a common problem or if I have wiring problems somewhere else????? Thanks

Did you change the light bulb harness? or just put new lenses? something is not wired right. Maybe the brake light wires are back feeding the parking/headlamp wires. I think that would cause parking lights to come on and headlights pop up.

Have any pics?

 

yeah i changed the lenses and the harness and the wire colors are the same. you are probably right, i just need to do some more checking into it. i didn't know if it was just my vehicle or if it was a common problem with something. thanks

I recently contacted the ebay seller that makes the relay for the sequential turn signals. Figured I should ask before I modded. They explained hte process and basically you have to wire the brake lights through the turn signal wiring near the front of the car. When i get back to my room I will dig up the email and get the full description.

 

Ok....I appreciate all who have tried to help..I found my problem. When I got the tail light harness, from a salvage yard, I didn't check the bulbs. One of the tail/stop bubs had the wrong bulb. I changed it and everything works like it should. I really want to thank you all. Mark
