No Accy but it cranks
Car is a '85 Trans Am, 350, 5 spd. Woman's son put new alternator on it Wednesday, and for some reason decided to mess with the starter and grounded it out with a screwdriver. Since then, no accessories, no power to the dash, but the lights work and it will crank and start but only while the key is in the crank position. Power seats only work in crank position also. Purple and yellow wires under dash should be hooked into the fuse panel somewhere but I don't know -where-, but I do know that without them being stuck in a terminal, it won't even crank. Any suggestions?

Ok, so both of them go to the clutch switch behind the pedal? What about the no power issue? I don't know if the wires were hooked up any kind of way before I looked at it, but like I said, without the wires hooked into one of the terminals, it does nothing at all. And if you plug them into the terminal next to the other, when you turn the key 'on' the starter just spins. I'm pretty stumped
