Electrical system not working help please
I need help with my car. Recently the electrical system has stoped completly. The headlights/fan/ignition/and starter still work. thats it. nothing else will work. nothing inside the car. The fuel pump doesnt work so i cant start it. I had it fixed once and it did it again about a month or two later. When it was fixed i was told i need a new computer that it was going out and this sorta thing could and probably would happen again. Well it did. So i was wondering if any of you guys had these symptoms and knew if it really was the computer and if it is could you tell me where it is located on the car? Also would it be too hard to replace myself? thanks in advance

your computer will not cause a complete sys power failure, maybe a dead batt or burnt out fusible links will... or brkn conn from batt to car..... maybe trick or someone will explain it better, good luck!

well ive discovered that it seems to have knocked out the things conected to the fuse box only..... unless the headlights have a fuse in there i have not found......but all the fuses work.......so im wondering if the fuse box is not getting power from somewhere....do you know if it is conected to the computer somewhere down the line?

i bet its a fusable link blown or defective...... or one of your batt cables is not connected..... your fusable links are accessed from under the car from what i hear near the batt

Take matters into your own hands and get a schematic. Once you have a schematic you can trace down the problem yourself and fix it, or take it somewhere and tell them what is wrong instead of them bumbling around your car. The fuse box supplies power to the ECM not the other way around.

ok im retarded......the ecm is the computer? so it could just be the wires going to the computer? and it will get done faster if i let the other guy fix it. i hope.
