How could i get the trunk open without having it wired up

How could i get the trunk open without having it wired up

I previously pulled the wring harness out of the engine bay because im redoing the entire wiring system. Now how would i go about getting the trunk open? does anyone have a wiring diagram? thanks

Yeah thats anouther problem, i dont have a key, well i have half a key. Isnt there a way to wire up the switch to a 12 volt power source and make it so the trunk will open like its suposed to?

sounds like your drilling a lock or having a locksmith come open it if you already have the entire harness out. cause i dont know about you but laying the backseat down and laying back there trying to get the cover off to the hatch latch wouldn't be fun also unless the 2 screw are out of the top i think your going to have to break he back plastic panel to do it this way. But if the harness is still in the car you should be alright, i think there should be either an orange wire OR a red/white wire i think the red/white wire is for the release pull down. so if you give them 12 volts you should be all right

Just the engine bay harness is out, Im gonna get the wiring diagram off the computers at school tommorow and jerry rig something up, or at least give it a shot. IM also gonna stop by the dealership and see if they hopefully still have the codes for the keys, i know its 15 years old but they had them 2-3 years ago

just run a jumper wire to a BAT or ignition terminal on your fuse box and hit the switch and it should open

I got the trunk open (went to the dealer and got a key) but now i cant close it :hmm:

You have to have power to the hatch motor for it to close.
