Bad Alt Problem

I have a 92 rs that was originally a 305 TBI, it has been converted to a 86 TPI, but altered to a speed density system, problem is, the alt will not charge. The "S" and "F" terminals are currently being used, when i connect the DVM to the negative battery terminal and the BATT post on the alt the out put is .07 volts(changes w/engine speed) but the battery keeps running low (about 12.36 v with engine off) battery and alt are new as well as the complete wiring harness. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is a stock 89 TPI, mass airflow for that year.
My alt appears burned out. Just last night driving a few blocks with headlights, dash, etc.. I saw my batt guage actually dropping into the solid low zone on the dash guage. Have you seen something similar?

Been some time since I messed with my alternator, I think they are 120amp.
Right now, I have to keep an extra battery as backup and it's a real pain!

Well I had the battery and alternator tested AGAIN today both checked out good, i figured they would since they are both new. I think that the alt is not exciting correctly any help would be greatly appreciated. Bill that is happening since my alt is not charging when it starts to get low you can watch the battery level drop, also with the turn signals or hazards on. This car is really starting to ruin my day..Please Help!

with the heavy wire hooked up & with the key off you should have battery voltage on the big terminal on the back of the alternator, if you don't then it won't charge, trace that wire back to its source & i think you will probably find the problem

Do you mean the "Batt" terminal, or the "S" terminal?

FIXED,

I ran a bypass wire from the Battrey directly to the Batt Terminal and then It read 14.56 volts. Thank you all for your help.

You might want to remove the old batt wire while you're at it. If it's broken somewhere, but still hooked up at one end, it's a potential short waiting to happen.

I had big doubts on if my own assessment was correct. The $40 alternator replacement [eBay seller, reman unit] came Friday and put it on Saturday...not sure if I'd run into more problems... it WORKED!
I'm happy to report.. at least one more thing off the list haha
