No Signal From Ecm
Alright to make a long story short, I had an 87 GTA that had no engine or trans in it. I pulled the wiring harness off my 89 firebird with the LO3 in it to use for a 350 that i got out of an 87 Suburban. I Put the engine in with this wiring harness. I know some of the wiring has to be wrong because i already had a problem with the fuel pump but i fixed that.
Now my question is, i hooked up my scanner to the ALDL link and it said there was no signal from the ECM. The ECM i used was for a truck 350, i dont remember the number for it, but if it helps i could get it. Could it be a bad ground, or just that the wiring inside the car, and the wiring for the engine harness dont match because of the different years and engines. Any help or information would be much appreciated as ive been into this project for almost a year now, and would like to see some benefits.
