Camaro to Firebird headlight switch and dimmer

I got sick and tired of that stupid pull-out headlight switch that I got stuck with when I bought my Camaro. The next best thing is getting the Firebird switch to work in the Camaro. I think the hard part is done, which is getting it to fit into the dash bezel.

Now, I'd like to verify my wiring. The wires on the Firebird switch are as follows:
Dimmer
BROWN
WHITE
BLACK
BLACK/LT BLUE

Headlight switch
ORANGE
RED
TAN
BROWN

The Camaro switch wires:
BROWN
ORANGE
GREEN
TAN
RED
BLACK
WHITE

I know for sure that the brown wire turns the parking lights and gauge lights on and off, so if the brown wire were split between the dimmer and headlight switch, that would make sense. All of the other colors match up, except for the black/lt blue wire on the Firebird dimmer, and the green wire from the Camaro. I'm just assuming that these wires mean the same thing, but that would only work if GM didn't change the wire colors on me. Maybe they did.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there is a schematic that shows what each wire controls on both the Camaro and Firebird switches. I'm not sure if they go into any more detail beyond "the red, orange, tan, and brown wires plug into the switch," but it would be nice to make sure I'm hooking this up right. I would do it by trial and error, but my engine isn't installed yet, so I don't have a battery that can be conveniently hooked up.

The Firebird headlight switch will have one or two extra wires intended to activate the relays for the lift motors. You may also need to wire up the transistorized dimmer to the 'bird switches, but I think it may only have been used to handle the load from the extra bulbs in the Firebird dash cluster.
A Chilton's manual for each vehicle should spell out which wires do what. Haynes should as well, but the Chilton's is a bit easier to 'cipher.
