neutral safety switch aftermarket wiring

first of all i did a search and nothing came up, mainly because no one has ever done what i am doing. i am insatlling a hurst pistol grip shifter in my 88 trans am 700R4.

there are 6 wires coming into the factory harness, what do each one do??? which 2 need to be wired for the NSS, im guessing 2 others are for the back up lights, not sure about the other 2. can someone clear this up please. i'll be posting the pics of my new shifter, counsel, and dash, detailed with aluminum

Sure can!!!

Pin "A" = black/white wire for ground.
Pin "B" = orange/black wire to pin "B10" of ECM for ignition signal.
Pin "C" = dark blue wire to turn flasher & turn/back-up fuse.
Pin "D" = light green wire to back-up light & automatic day-night mirror.
Pin "E" = purple wire to "S" post on starter solenoid
Pin "F" = yellow wire to ignition switch under dash.
enjpy.

That is the wire that tells the ECM that the shifter is in either "PARK" or "NEUTRAL" and will allow the car to start.

more detail, are you saying it is a NSS for the ECM. i have it unplugged, and the car starts, not idleing worth shat, but thats another issue, so this is leaving me more confused, what do to with this wire, being that an aftermarket shifter has no provision for it.

u seem to really know ur electronics, so just a little more info on the operation of that wire would be a great benefit (btw, this car has 45,000miles and is in amazing shape, not some huge hack job that possess no original wiring)
