Help No Headlights!!!!!
Ok so for the past couple of years my headlights would not go down on theyre own. Then last weekend i picked up a used headlight switch and replaced mine and wha la they worked. Well 2 nights ago i was driving at night i shut off the car for about 10 minutes and came back and the headlights would not come on, nore would the dome light, parking lights ect. I tried to put the old switch back in with no change. Someone please set me in the right direction here.

Sounds like you have an open circuit, most likely on the power or ground side. I'd start with the power side @ the switch and see if you have any juice coming in.

actualy i'm able to open the headligt but they dont want to close anymore.. I think i have the wrong relay somewhere, i have 3 relay, 3 wire motor (and over 6 relay on hand whit diff. # but all whit the same connection... whats a pain in the ***...)
So actualy i'm going a wire inside of the car whit a pushbutton to give + on the darkblue/darkblue white wire to close the headligt.. I can open whit the switch but have to give + at those wire to close it... (the light itself is going off ok)..

Ok so no luck fixing yet, here are the current simptoms to the problem. The headlights, marker lights, interior lights, dash lights, power locks, and rear hatch have no power. But yesterday i hit the power locks and they worked a few times, so i hit the light switch with the car off and i heard the tone for a second then nothing the lights didnt come on but where about to. Then i hit the locks and they didnt work again. Any suggestions or more detailed diagrams or pictures would be appreciated.

On my 88 Iroc there was a bad conection in the box going through the firewall. The weather sealent had got hot and run down on the contacts. It took a long time to figure it out. I had no power to the light switch or dome lights.

Its fixed, I was diggin around last night, got down by the starter and started playing with the wires attached to the starter and at last success. The wires had some corrosion around them and it looks like they didnt have the greatest connection. Thanks a lot for the help guys. To all the unanswered old dead posts about similar problems here is your solution at last.
