Overhead Console wiring
I recently picked up an overhead console from an 85 Berlinetta. Now, I have read the Tech Article on this, and the wiring part of it doesn't seem to make much sense.
I had the connector that is joined to the car's wiring harness set up according to the directions in the article, and hooked the console up to a jumpstart pack to check to see if it worked (wouldn't be the first time I picked up a bad part from that J/Y). Okay, the way I understand the console is supposed to work, is that when the car door is open or the courtesy lights are turned on, both the dome light and movable map light are supposed to be on. I got that to work fine. I got the map light switch to work fine.
However, when I pushed the "DOME" light switch, which I would assume is also supposed to turn on the dome lamp in the console, I burned out the factory switch and the dome light never came on. So, I replaced the switch with a toggle switch I had laying around (removed the cruise control and that was part of the fix). When I tried it again, I burned up the wiring. Now, I know that the solid purple wire goes from the connector on the console to the "DOME" switch. There is a black wire which appears to come from the map light and the dome light that runs to the switch also. However, when I removed the factory splice in the black wire, I noticed that there was another black wire in the splice. Where does this third wire go? It had to have been factory since the splice was just a metal sleeve that was covered by the same tape as the rest of the wiring harness. The wire was about 1/4" long, and was NOT part of the wire I burned up.
Could someone supply me with a picture of the wiring side of an overhead console so I can make sure I get this right the FIRST time?

So, noone on here just happens to have a wiring diagram for an overhead console?
I can figure out the wiring on my own if I just had a wiring diagram. The two links for both 1985 and 1986, located in the Tech Articles section, don't include the overhead console. All I have figured out so far is that Someone converted the original, plain-jane dome lamp (w/o map lights), to a unit with map lights, so the only wiring I have that is stock is the white with orange stripe and white wiring running from the car to the dome lamp.

The orange w/white tracer is 12V constant to power to both O/H lights; the white wire grounds out to light the dome lamp, and there should be a black wire that goes to chassis ground (any convenient spot on the roof frame) to ground out when the map light or dome light switch is pressed.

NVM. I figured it out on my own and installed the console four days ago. I just hadn't had access to the internet so I could let everyone know...
