4 cyl. tach for a V8?

hey folks, we are swapping a Camaro powertrain into a Mazda RX7, and i want to use the stock gauges of the RX7 - the problem: the Mazda had a 4 cyl engine - any ideas how i could connect the tachometer to the 8 cyl tach signal from the camaro?

i thought out there could be something like a "buffer" for this?

An RX7 actually should have had a zero-cylinder engine.

I don't know if there's anything available on the market, but such a thing can be done fairly easily.

Considering how popular it is to swap an SBC into an RX7, there must be something. This probably isn't the place to look for it though.
